Stevenage's hunt for a new manager has already begun according to chairman Phil Wallace - after manager Steve Evans left to take up the Rotherham United post.

The 61-year-old was in charge for a little over two years and helped not only take Boro away from the relegation zone in League Two but up to League One and then into the play-off race.

That ended in disappointment but thoughts were already turning to what was required to get them over the line, and it didn't seem like much.

That, together with the rise in Stevenage's stock, should make them a much more attractive proposition for any new boss.

But who will that be?

These are the first names being touted by betting companies in the immediate aftermath.
