There are a number of mouth-watering ties in the first round of the Herts Senior Challenge Cup after news of the draw was released.

It was honours even in the North Herts derby at Top Field between Hitchin Town and Baldock Town after a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Norwich City have signed 19-year-old former Hitchin Town winger Josh Coley on a 12 month deal with the option of a further year after he impresssed following a trial spell.

Hitchin Town beat near neighbours Arlesey Town 4-0 in a pre-season match at New Lamb Meadow.

Hitchin Town’s pre-season friendly with Hemel Hempstead Town on Monday has been cancelled due to lack of match officials – the second time in two days that a Canaries game against the Tudors has been called-off.
