WITHIN days of celebrating a win in her first ever desert rally, a motorbike enthusiast was left devastated after six off-road bikes were stolen from her garage.

Donna Gray, of Norton Road in Stotfold, won the ladies class of the professional class of the Tuareg Rallye in Morocco - an eight-day competition navigated by roadbook and GPS, and including timed tests.

Ten days later, sometime between 3am and 5am last Thursday, six motorbikes - including the rally bike she had ridden in Morocco, which she called her “pride and joy” - were stolen from her garage, after theives broke a window to gain access.

“We found two down the road because they couldn’t start them,” explained Ms Gray.

“I have been out every night trying to find the others.

“My pride and joy has gone missing.”

The four bikes are worth a total of about £14,000.

Anyone with information about the crime, call Beds Police on 101, citing crime reference number JD-11969-2012.
