Two seriously injured in A1M crash - hunt for mystery driver

A driver and his passenger suffered serious injuries last night when the car they were travelling in left the A1 motorway and crashed into a fence and bushes.
The male driver of a silver Ford Fiesta and his female passenger were taken to Lister Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after they left the northbound carriageway between Stevenage and Letchworth GC at 8.40pm. The Fiesta was involved in a collision with a black Honda Accord moments earlier.
Police are looking for the driver of the Honda, which has a distinctive rear spoiler and possibly has an 02 or 05 number plate.
Pc Bruce Lister of the Roads Policing Unit urged anyone who has information about the incident, or saw either vehicle prior to it, to call him via 101, quoting reference number 723 of May 20.
