Two suspected drug dealers arrested at Letchworth hotel

Two suspected drug dealers were arrested at a Letchworth town centre hotel yesterday afternoon after reports of suspicious activity in one of the rooms.

Police were called to Premier Inn in Station Road at 4.34pm, and arrested a man and a woman at the scene.

The man – from London and aged 24 – was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of criminal property, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

The woman, an 18-year-old from Letchworth, was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

Both remain in police custody this morning.
