Two men have been arrested following a fight in Letchworth Garden City this afternoon.

Police officers were sent to Southfields at 3.17pm following reports of the brawl.

A police spokeswoman said: “During the incident a shop window was smashed which caused an injury to the face of one of the men involved.

“Both men have been arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed weapon.”

The spokeswoman confirmed that although there were no reports of a knife being used, one was found at the scene.

She added: “The man who was injured was also arrested for criminal damage. The man who suffered an injury had been taken to the Lister but has since been taken to custody.”
