A fight allegedly broke out after a group of up to 30 teenagers gathered in Stevenage town centre late last night

Police were called at about 11.10pm to a report that a large group of teenagers were causing a disturbance in Danestrete.

A police spokeswoman said: “It was reported that up to 30 people were gathered in the area and that a fight had occurred between members of the group.

“Officers attended and two people were arrested. They remain in police custody at this time.

“A dispersal order was put in place and the remaining members of the group left the area without further incident.”
