A teenager is in a critical condition after a collision with a car last night.
The 17-year-old is being treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital for head injuries sustained in an accident on Vardon Road in Stevenage near the Oval shops at around 8.20pm.
An off duty paramedic was caring for the girl when an ambulance crew arrived.
She was initially taken to a trauma team at Lister Hospital, before being transferred to Cambridge.
The male driver of a black Ford Fiesta gave a voluntary statement to officers at Stevenage Police Station.
