A 61-year-old flasher from Hitchin has been given a suspended prison sentence after he admitted exposing himself in the town.

George Haynes, of St John’s Road, admitted exposing his genitals in the town on October 17 and 18 when he appeared before Stevenage magistrates last week.

Chairman of the bench Rosemary Bolton sentenced him to 22 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 24 months, and ordered him to sign the sex offenders’ register for seven years.

Haynes must pay £85 costs and £115 surcharge.
