Stevenage school to hold farewell reunion

A SCHOOL is holding a reunion today (Saturday) to give former students, staff and friends in the community the chance to have a look around before the building is demolished.

Marriotts School in Stevenage will move into the new Marriotts Lonsdale School in September so is inviting people to visit the current site in Telford Avenue from 2pm to 5pm, before it is no more.

Associate headteacher Ian Dougall said: “There have been an overwhelming number of requests for a ‘final look’, so the school is organising a farewell visit.

“Events will include tours, dance displays, ‘assemblies’ (so make sure your tie is straight and your skirt is below the knee), displays and a chance to meet old friends. We look forward to seeing you there.”
