Stevenage hit-and-run toddler discharged from hospital

A toddler who received serious head and chest injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Stevenage last month has been discharged from hospital and is now recovering at home.

The boy, who cannot be identified, was found lying seriously injured in Fortuna Close just after 6.30pm on November 3.

Police and paramedics were called and the boy was treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he remained in a serious but stable condition.

He has now been discharged and is recovering at home.

A 23-year-old man from Stevenage, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, GBH, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance, answered bail and was released again, this time under investigation.

Call Herts police on 101 quoting ISR 658 of November 3 with information.
