THIS weekend is a special time for members of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stevenage as they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of an organised branch in the area.

Their chapel on Buckthorn Avenue will be brimming with members past and present who are travelling from all over the UK ready to share their stories and experiences of being members of the Stevenage branch.

There will be talks and a dance today (Saturday) from 7pm onwards and a special Sacrament meeting tomorrow (Sunday) between 11.30am and 1:30pm.

Anyone who has been associated with the branch over the years, and interested members of the public, are invited to take part in the weekend.
