Man dead following collision in Hitchin

A man has died in Hitchin in the early hours of this morning following a collision.

The man died in Hitchin town centre at around 3am.

Police, paramedics and the fire service were on the scene early this morning.

Bridge Road was closed off this morning while the fire service were on the scene at 8am.

Residents on the scene have said that a tent was put up.

The Comet is awaiting further updates from the emergency services.
