Adam Harpur – twin of James – and sister Laura have been organising the competition every year since 2014 with funds going to the James Harpur Support Fund.

The support fund is in place for less privileged backgrounds to meet the cost of training fees so that children can be a part of the Letchworth Garden City Eagles FC – a club both James and Adam played for from a young age.

This year, the tournament will also be in memory of the club’s co-founder, chairman and president Vince Paige who died last year.

Adam told the Comet: “The tournament is also now run in the memory of Vince Paige who sadly passed away last year.

“We owe Vince a lot as he helped us start up and run the charity so we are forever in his debt for that.”

The tournament takes place this Sunday at the Letchworth Eagles football ground from 11.30am. There is a £2 entry fee for spectators.
