A 39-year-old man and 41-year-old woman have been released under investigation. A 57-year-old man has been released with no further action.

A police spokeswoman said: “It has been established that all parties involved are known to each other. A scene guard remains at the address while enquiries continue.

“At this early stage of the investigation, officers are keeping an open mind as to how the woman sustained her injuries and whether there was any third-party involvement.”
