Circus returns to Biggleswade for popular annual performance

There will be family fun aplenty in Biggleswade this weekend, with John Lawson’s Circus rolling into town.

Starting next Thursday and running until Sunday, the award-winning show will take place at G&M Growers in Hitchin Road, Upper Caldecote.

Founded in 1974, Lawson’s Circus is a popular event in the town.

Owner John Lawson said: “We have been coming to Biggleswade for 10 years now. It’s one of our favourite places to come and perform.

“This year is a big year for circus.

“It’s the 250th birthday of modern circus and the Greatest Showman has made more people interested.

“We have two trapeze artists from Argentina performing and a really good quick change act.

“We try and make the show different every year and it’s going to be exciting for people to come and see.”
