Club secretary Roy Izzard and managing director Andy Melvin are encouraging as many people as possible to head to the team’s clash with Evo-Stik Southern rivals Stourbridge next month.

It follows the launch of campaigns by residents and the Comet to keep the club at its Top Field home, after proposals to build a new stadium in St Ippolyts for the club and sell of Top Field for development were aired.

The Comet is appealing for everyone interested in keeping the club at Top Field to go along to the game to show their support and to send a message to the Hitchin Cow Commoners Trust that the people of Hitchin want the club to stay where it is.

The game against Stourbridge will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 3pm. For further details on tickets and pricing, visit www.hitchintownfc.co.uk
