A cyclist was taken to hospital after being injured in a crash with a BMW this morning in Hitchin.

The collision happened just after 6.30am at the corner of Walsworth Road and Radcliffe Road.

The man in his 30s is believed to have suffered a broken nose, but the ambulance service confirmed he was conscious and breathing with ‘non-life threatening injuries’ as he was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

An eye-witness told the Comet: “The man looked in a bad way on the tarmac with a broken nose.”
