Organiser Samantha Hart brought together artists, jewellers, illustrators, makers and even bakers together for a one-stop creative experience – with the aim of making it easy to shop local under a single roof.

“The day was full of shoppers looking for unique gifts from doors-open to close,” said Samantha.

There were more than 30 stalls on hand, with offerings ranging from Hitchin illustrations and papercuts to Christmas cards and wreaths.

Mexican street food masters Cantina Carnitas were on hand with their burritos to help keep the cold at bay, and Neighbourhood Bakes put on treats including mulled wine brownies. There was Wakelin and Sons’ special blend coffee.

Glee Club UK singers performed Christmas songs to get everyone into the festive spirit.
