Hertfordshire Building Control beat competition from more than 300 local authority building control services to win a national Team of the Year award.
Based in Welwyn Garden City, HBC won big at the Local Authority Building Control Awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

As well as winning the prestigious Team of the Year award, Best Newcomer went to apprentice Steve Morrow and Public Service Superstar to Nicola Compton, for her incredible 35 years of service.
Hertfordshire Building Control received multiple endorsements from customers who said the team "consistently fostered a positive and collaborative working relationship", as well as "demonstrating a commitment to supporting projects from the initial design phase through to completion".
