Stevenage’s Thomas Alleyne Academy has been forced to close tomorrow (Friday, January 12) due to "ongoing power problems".
The secondary school, in High Street, confirmed the news on their social media this afternoon, saying: "Unfortunately, due to ongoing power problems the school will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 12."

It also remains unclear whether students will be back at school next week, with the update continuing: "We will update you with further information for next week as soon as possible."
Thomas Alleyne welcomed back students for the start of the spring term today, but it looks like they could be set for a continued break.
