Baldock Rotary Club is calling on people in the community to help with this year's Christmas lights installation.
Christmas light panels are all being tested, inspected and repaired by a team of Rotarians and helpers, supervised by Rob Hemmings.
Mike Williams and his team are also inspecting the sleigh to ensure it is mechanically sound and its lighting and audio systems are in full working order.
The sleigh, with Father Christmas on board, will be visiting the streets of Baldock and surrounding villages and making its traditional door to door collection.
Installation of the Christmas lights will take place on November 11, 12 and 18, and Baldock Rotary is requesting volunteer helpers.

Volunteers will not necessarily need to climb ladders, but help is needed to take lights from the storage lock-up to their place of installation.
Anyone who can help should contact Rob Hemmings on 07711 320311.
If you can help with the collection when the sleigh goes around the streets, assistance is needed on the nights of November 29 and 30 and December 7, 15 and 18.
Collections start at 6pm and finish at around 8.15pm. Anyone who is interested should contact Mike Williams by calling 07940 048064.
