7 Herts areas that have won over £1k in the Postcode Lottery

Hertfordshire is no stranger to success in the Postcode Lottery, with prizes such as book vouchers, £10 prizes and £15 prizes often won.

However, some locations in the county have been luckier than the rest, with prizes up to £30,000 won on occasion.

With that in mind, here's seven Hertfordshire locations that have won over £1,000 on the People's Postcode Lottery.

1. Windmill Drive, Croxley Green

Windmill Drive, in Croxley Green, has won a prize on the Postcode Lottery 19 times.

Multiple £10 wins have been complimented by one £20, a car prize and one £25,000 prize.

In June 2018, a car prize was awarded to the WD3 3FE postcode, from a draw promoted by Plan International.

The award saw £25,000 given to residents, on very the same day.

2. Admiral Drive, Stevenage

Along with multiple £10 wins, SG1 4FL has also claimed a variety of high-quality prizes.

The location in Admiral Drive, Stevenage, won a car prize and £5,000 in October 2016.

£20 was won on August 4, 2019, before a prize voucher was added to the pile last year (2021).

This prize voucher was won in a draw promoted by the Postcode Care Trust.

3. Stationers Place, Hemel Hempstead

With 22 wins in the Postcode Lottery, HP3 9RS is one of the most fortunate postcodes in Hertfordshire.

The location has seen a total of 19 £10 wins, and one £20 award in December 2019.

On September 5, 2020, a draw promoted by the Postcode Innovation Trust awarded the location £30,000.

A prize voucher was also won, in March 2021.

4. Heathfield Road, Hitchin

SG5 1TE has a rich history in the People's Postcode Lottery.

The site first won £10 in September 2015, due to a draw promoted by the Postcode African Trust.

Along with multiple other £10 wins, the site won £20 in both 2016 and 2019, and £15 in September 2018.

Heathfield Road, Hitchin, finally struck gold when £30,000 was awarded in July 2019.

5. Mercers, Hemel Hempstead

HP2 5AL is a postcode in Mercers, Hemel Hemspstead.

The location has won 10 prizes on the People's Postcode Lottery, between 2018 and 2022.

On nine of these occasions, locals won just £10.

However, in June 2016, £30,000 was awarded due to a Postcode Planet Trust draw.

6. Cheviots, Hatfield

AL10 8JT in Cheviots, Hatfield, has won a prize on the People's Postcode Lottery 25 times since November 2015.

The site won £15 in August 2018, and £20 in December 2019.

A Postcode Planet Trust draw win of £30,000 came on June 12, 2021.

The location also won a prize voucher in August that same year.

7. Roy Road, Rickmansworth

Roy Road in Rickmansworth has been the subject of 15 Postcode Lottery wins.

The largest of these wins came on September 9, 2019, when a draw promoted by the Woodland Trust awarded residents £30,000.

A prize voucher was also awarded in June 2021.

HA6 1EH has been given £110 worth of £10 prizes since October 2016.
