A woman in her 30s has been injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Stevenage stretch of the A1(M) this afternoon.

Two ambulances were sent to the crash between junctions 7 and 8 on the southbound carriageway at just after 1.30pm.

Paramedics treated the woman with a suspected chest injury and she was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further care.

The crash resulted in signifcant delays on the A1(M) but these have now cleared.
