Archant

Two cars have been involved in a crash on the A505 near Baldock this morning, and officers remain at the scene.

Police were called to the Baldock bypass at 7.52am to what was initially reported as debris on the carriageway – with officers then finding there had been a crash.

The two vehicles involved are a black Kia Venga and a blue Toyota Auris, the latter of which needs to be recovered.

Police remain at the scene, and the road remains open. There have been no injuries reported, thankfully.

There are long delays on the A1(M) southbound this morning, with traffic near-stationary between Junction 7 for Stevenage and Junction 9 for Letchworth Gate.
