A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after a crash involving two vans on the A600 in Hitchin on Saturday morning.

Police, paramedics and Stevenage firefighters attended the scene of the crash just before 10am on the A600 Bedford Road, which involved VW Transporter and Ford Transit vans.

A man was taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital with a minor head injury. It had been feared a vehicle might be on fire, but this proved not to be the case.

Firefighters helped with scene safety. Police said the road was clear by 12.20pm.
