THE sun shone down on supporters of a school's summer fair which was officially opened by a celebrity singer.

Woolgrove School in Letchworth GC raised £1,400 at its annual summer fair which was opened by ITV's Grease is the Word finalist Bradley Clarkson.

The event included a tombola, bouncy castle, barbecue, yoga lessons and even a band.

Members of an after-school karate club put on a performance to display their skills, and Bradley judged a competition to decide which pupil had drawn the best portrait of him.

The money raised will be ploughed back into the school and used throughout the year.

Funds raised at last year's fair were put towards a number of things including a new climbing frame.
