LOCAL elections in Stevenage and North Herts will take place on May 1.
There are 66 candidates fighting it out for 15 seats in North Herts, and 49 candidates looking to secure one of 13 seats in Stevenage. As well as the three main parties, the Green Party, UKIP and two independents are in the running in both districts.
The English Democrats are also fighting for seats in Stevenage, and the British National Party has three candidates in North Herts.
