In 2016 Bragbury End Residents’ Association approached Stevenage Borough Council and said there was a strip of land which they would like to take over to create a community garden. The council had no other plans for the strip and were pleased to have the residents offer to take care of it.
The council is investing to improve play areas for children and young people in Stevenage. Earlier this year it opened six new play areas designed with the help of local children. Work starts on two more in Pin Green in July.
