29/10/2008, 2:47 PM Michelle Fosbrook Joined on 16/05/2003 Hertfordshire Posts 98 Teenager dies in road tragedy A teenager died last night (Monday) after being struck by a car on a country road. Daryl Bridge, 19, suffered fatal injuries as he walked near Marquis Hill in Shillington at around 6.50pm. Police said the road between Shillington and Lower Stondon would be closed for this morning at least while an investigation into the tragedy was carried out. Mr Bridge had been attempting to get back to his father's home in Lower Stondon to get help after his car had broken down in Shillington. He was struck by a silver Daewoo Lanos car, also heading in the direction of Lower Stondon.
