hahahahahahahahah brilliant news!!!!!!
Destiny will always take over
A sad day for Boro when that man walked into Broadhall Way again
I am very disappointed that Mr Wallace has appointed Westley as manager again.
There was a nasty side to Westley that perhaps stemmed from his ego. Westley was in my eyes far too arrogant and overbearing. His untimely utterings angered me and embarassed me I lost friends who were ashamed to be known as a Boro supporter when Westley was in charge.
The football served up by the team while Westley influenced the tactics was ugly and gave questionable entertainment.
Having spoken to some of the players I was enlightened as to Westley's failings in man management. To treat your charges with little repect results in disrespect of your self. The team suffered when Westley failed to get the best out players - Elding, Brennan etc. I further question Westley's ability to judge a player potential - DJ Campbell, Jute Stirling etc.
Westley reappointed into a position at Stevenage Borough means many of my good friends will fail to attend games. The depth of feeling against Westley following his previous spell means that many are unprepared to forgive. Will I attend games next season? I can't answer today.
Like it or not, GW is now back in charge at Broadhall Way. For all the misgivings I have about the last time he was in charge here, Phil Wallace has the clubs best interests at heart, and if he says GW is the man he believes will take us into the Football League, then I'll be right behind him, and the team, in our push for promotion this season
Dear Loyal fan,
We support the club just not the manager. I have supported Boro for over 18 years, I could only just stomach The Westley Ego for so long the first time round, but for him to return is just going backwards. As I said before PW said he wanted attractive football, since when has root one hoofing been entertainning? I know there will be a few who would rather stay away from the club and thats our choice. You say about Grahams money covering our non attendance, that is a petty comment along with saying, the club can do without fans who choose to stay away.
I couldnt care less if there was only 900 fans at the first game of the season, the ones that are there will be the fans that love the club.
I know there will be much negativity among the fans at this news - I didnt want GW back myself if you offerered me all the tea in China. The appointment may divide fans down the middle, and the guys on the old fans' site I know are in a quandary about this.
But listen on - there's a most significant post on the previous thread 'Who do you want etc...' from the one man whose opinion I respect and will listen to, as he's forgotten more about football than I could ever hope to learn, and that's Jim Briscoe, without whom there probably wouldn't even be a Stevenage football team today - Gentleman Jim. Jim has endorsed Westley's appointment, Phil Wallace (whom I also respect) assures us fans that GW has changed since he was here last (and, by God, that had better be the case or there will be dark deeds done), and it seems that PW will be appointing his own coaching staff too. John Dreyer will be a good number 2, and so long as Westley's known arrogance has dissipated or is held in check, and the remit is to bring attractive football back to Broadhall Way, I will cautiously go with this, on the basis that as a supporter of many years' standing I can vote with my feet if need be as next season unfolds... and it is only a one-year appointment, after all. Who else is available and has the abilities we need?
It has been said many a time that a football club is bigger than one man, and ALL true Borough fans HAVE to be behind the club 100% to help it succeed, irrespective of whether there is one personality they find perhaps less palatable - there is no workplace on earth where there isn't someone disliked by one or more of the others.
So come on, get behind the club and lets see how this all pans out. WE THE FANS at the end of the day still have the power to sway board decisions by staying away from games if things aren't going right (stay away from my beloved Boro - aaargh!!!), but let's just test the nature of the beast once again, eh?
COME ON YOU BOROUGH!

SIR - I write about the laughing stock that has become Stevenage Borough Football Club.Who could believe Peter Taylor could have been given the managers job when everyone who knows anything about football knew he would be wrong for the job. Now we have brought back a reject who bored us all to death. I refer of couse to Mr Westley. As the peoples stadium deserves to have league football played on it surely it is time for the real culprit Mr Wallace to be shown the door by the fans as his latest appointment is no more than a kick in the teeth to us the long suffering supporters.
