Hatfield Town produced a five-star show on Saturday by thrashing local rivals Codicote 5-0.
The victory keeps the heat on league leaders Metropolitan Police Bushey, who come to Herns Lane this coming Saturday.
That crunch match will go a long way to deciding who wins the title.
Town are currently six points behind having played one less. Victory on Saturday would cut the deficit to three points, still with a fixture in hand, and suddenly it's game on for the title.
Can Hafield steal the championship at last this season?
The deficit is now four points with a game in hand, with Hatfield having a vastly superior goal difference.
And the two sides have still to play each other again.
With Hatfield unbeaten in the league since last October, it's Town for the title in my eyes.
Looks like I spoke too soon!
What happened yesterday against Bovingdon?
I know Town's unbeaten run had to come to an end sooner or later, but Saturday's defeat could cost Hatfield the title.
